Sending PM's question

Sometimes when I send PM's they end up in my Outbox folder NOT the Sent folder. Have they been sent or not? They cannot be moved out of Outbox.

NB. Tried to Post in FAQ but....

I believe they show up in your outbox until they're read, but i'm not sure. Send me one and I won't read it until the morning, then you can check tonight and see if it's in the outbox, and if it moves when I read it in the morning.

I've ascertained that I've received your PM but have not opened it yet. I will open it in the morning at 8-ish Central time which should help us ascertain how it works.

Yes. They stay in your outbox until read. Once read they move to your sent box.

There is a bug that can cause them to hang in the Outbox unsent. If you think that's what's happening, you can open it and resend it.

Some people don't have notifications set up so may not see PMs unless they visit the site.

Or someone may just be ignoring you.
