Can however buy this 2012 Piaggio BV Tourer 300. Is this as good as a Buddy. All I know are Buddies. I have a 150 back in Ohio. Need something for down here. 4K and something.

Doesn't your Buddy 'Snow Bird' with you anymore?

There's someone in Jupiter selling two.

You'll probably have to travel a bit in order to get one around there.

No, I didn't drive my RV down this winter. (Buddy was on a Versa Haul.) I can fly for a third of the price of driving. So my Buddy sits back in Ohio. By the way, a lot has happened since my post above. I'm being told that those scooters have transmission issues at around 6 or 7 K miles. Ended up almost closing a deal on a 2010, but "new" Silver Wing Honda. With all the options we talking @ $9450.00. I was thinking of a new Buddy @ $3800.00 so that's a big jump. Just not sure what to do. I'll be calling my Credit Union Tuesday and see what I can do with a loan. That Silver Wing was pretty as heck,,,by the way, it was 600cc.

I think the problem is you're looking underwater.

Not sure who told you this about the Beverly, but that has not been my experience with the Piaggios in this size range. It is also not something reported on the Modern Vespa forum where quite a few Beverly owners post. For all that, my inpression is that the Silver Wing is a fine machine. You should be able to find a good buy on a used on though. Regarding a Buddy versus a bike such as the Silver Wing - It is all a matter of how you want to ride it. A Buddy is a very good around town scooter. A Silver Wing is somewhat heavy and clumsy for that use IMO. The Silver Wing is an excellent cruiser however and will eat up the highway miles.
