Maybe wrong oil use in oil injector tank !!
what oil weight/type of oil should I be using in my Buddy 50 oil injector tank...sticker and manual says 30 weight....so I put in 30 wt.. engine oil... maybe this is to heavy and/or? causing plug to foul and all this carb troubles??? Any thoughts here ??? thanks

Oh shit. Not good. You have to use 2t oil for use in oil-injection engines. DO NOT run the engine anymore. Im not a mechanice, but I would guess you need to drain all gas, drain oil tank, clean carb and fuel lines, etc. Im REALLY sorry this happened.
Did you buy this bike used?

I would just drain the oil tank, replace with proper injector oil and get a few spark plugs handy.
Consider turning the engine over without a spark plug to clear any possible excess oil.
Gas should be fine, no need to drain that.
Hopefully it hasn't been run for too long without the proper oil.
You probably want to turn the engine over for a bit without spark plug with the injector oil so that it is primed into the system. Air in the pump could lead to no oil pressure.

Sorry! Its not a pre-mix! Duh. No need to drain gas.brianwheelies wrote:I would just drain the oil tank, replace with proper injector oil and get a few spark plugs handy.

You'll need to go to a scooter shop/motorcycle shop to get the correct kind of 2 stroke oil. The owners manual say "FC Class" which is JASO FC. That stands for "Japanese Automotive Standards Organization". JASO FC is the highest rating for 2-stroke oils. JASO FC oils leave little deposits and create very little smoke. They also pass specific lubricant and detergent tests.
JASO FC may be hard to find in your area and many will use API-TC rated oil. API = American Petroleum Institute. The highest level of certification for two-stroke oil is the "TC"-series.
So look for Scooter oil, made for injector systems, with JASO-FC or API-TC ratings on the label. Around $10 per bottle and will last you 800 miles give or take.

Thanks!!! only ran scooter up and down block few times TRYING to get carb dialed in... then running on lift for few more times carb trouble shooting.. I can't see where the 30 wt.. would do any damage mechanically; except over lube the spark plug ...LOL..
Hopefully this may be the answer and will keep you folks updated...thanks for the info...
