Dumbest question ever.
Is Ipone 80/140 gear oil 80w140 weight? the lack of a "w" in the title bothers me. Again, sorry for wasting your time. have a great weekend!

JHScoot, do you know the answer??
Anyway, on a diff. note, Im looking into a "sporty" scoot on the cheap and the Agility 125 is on the list. So is the Super 8 150 and the Piaggio Typhoon 125. The price of that Agility is awesome. You want to chime in?

I googled and EHOW says the W stands for Winter. Makes sense as the 80W will cover you in the Winter and the 180 will cover you in the Summer.

W = "winter" (not "weight") or cold-start viscosity, at lower temperature.
With that said, you are looking at a multigrade oil. The first number IS the cold-start viscosity. Ipone is a Frenchie company doesn't label it's products based on the American Petroleum Institute (API) standards, but rather a European or International standard that doesn't use the "W".

So I am assuming Ipone 80/140 will do just fine in my Buddy 150 right? Its on sale as Scooterworks. Reg $21 down to $14 or so. Does anybody have experience with Ipone?Lotrat wrote:W = "winter" (not "weight") or cold-start viscosity, at lower temperature.
