WANT!!! Please post your impressions and I'm sure we'd all love to hear from any other Psycho owners on the board.

Only thing is, I'm not too fond of the name. It's pejorative and, as a clinical psychologist, I'd feel uncomfortable with it insofar as it really seems a bit insulting to the people I used to work with. And I do still sometimes scoot on the rolling grounds of the psychiatric hospital where I used to work -- kid you not. Wouldn't dream of doing that on a scooter emblazoned with "Psycho." I'd have to cover the name on the seat and take off the badge, at minimum -- don't think anyone would buy that I was going for, say, cool irony.

Still, what a scooter! Love the performance mods from the standard Buddy and I'd love the lower seat.

to 'psyche' yourself for the first ride on the 'psycho' you must watch this video over and over for 24 hours straight...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VRiTUyQiQk

   :goofy:

to recover from the ride you will be urged to watch this video until you feel 'normal' again...

Excellent news, it's a great looking scoot. I'm interested in your riding impressions as soon as you put a few miles on it. Also, what number did you get? Number 50 was in the booth at Dealer Expo.

First mod on the Psycho? Take that eyeball sticker off. Otherwise I love the matte finish. Some Raider stickers might look good.

Slap that cylinder kit you have on and its about there. Maybe some tranny mods and a pipe and BINGO. Your own "Super-Psycho".

I think that most of it is revealed here: http://www.examiner.com/scooter-in-detr ... ers-psycho

But the slide show here has a few pictures of the real thing: http://www.examiner.com/scooter-in-detr ... 12-day-one

But the seat is totally different than any other Buddy. It's a low-profile seat that seems very comfortable for one. Not a ton of room for a passenger, but there is a little "shelf" on the back that even the Black Jack seat didn't have. No piping on the Psycho either. I really like the Black Jack AND the Psycho!

Before naming said scoot, you should look into the number 57 and its significance.

Hi guys! I am also new to the scooter community although I have ridden a motorcycle since I was 16. Gas prices are getting too high. I researched into getting a scooter for months and decided a Buddy was the way to go. I went to the dealer yesterday to look and fell in love with the Psycho they had in stock. I am going back tomorrow afternoon to purchase it. Hopefully its as great as you all have said it. I will keep you all updated on my ride! Thanks for all the help.

Let us know your OTD price. I'm still looking at one, but I've seen people on here getting them for $3200 and the place I'm looking at wants $3800, and that's without the tax, doc, setup, etc..............I want to know what ppl are paying for them OTD.

Just remember, folks, that OTD can't be compared across state lines. Here in MO OTD is bike price plus any dealer assembly only; taxes, title app, registration, and insurance are on the puchaser after it leaves the shop.

I purchased my Psycho today for 3400 thats with everything (docs, temp title, fees) in Oklahoma. I found the issue to be that the dealer did not charge the battery up correctly. We had to jump start it, but everything is fine now. The Psycho has a definite get up and go speed. Its a speedy little sucker. I love it. #15 of 174
