Buddy Panels?

Post by ryder1 »

How many Panels are on a Buddy that need to be replaced if switching to a different color?
For example the hot pink and black scooter...only switching the hot pink panels?

There are 9 total panels. 5 are smooth and shiny 4 are textured. As to how many need to be changed, that is dependent on what look you want to achieve

Have fun with it

Why don't you just paint the panels that you already have? Assuming they are still in good condition of course...

Agreed. Shipping on those panels will cost a lot. You can get really good results with a spray can and some patience.

+2.

I'm trying to think what color would go nicely with the silver for the deadlight/floorboard side panels. I'm liking the idea of a fuchsia-y purple.
Any of our custom-self-painted Buddy owners know how many cans of Krylon I may need?

EDIT: Nevermind, I'll go thread hunting. I think I remember Synaps3 said how many that were used to revive the beater Buddy he picked up. If not, I'll ask there anyway. Anti-hijacking AWAAYYYYY.

The textured being the black on the inside infront and behind your legs when sitting?

Seems like there are more than 5 S/S.
1. Front center
2. Front left
3. Front right
4. Top with odometer/speedometer
5. Rear side right
7. Rear side left
8. Rear (under the hand grab)

Health reasons won't permit doing the spraying.

Thank you, appreciate the assistance with this

I count 10 smooth and shiny pieces. There are actually 2 side panels on each side and the front fender makes ten. (I thought the textured panels on the pink '07s were also pink - am I hallucinating?)

The front-left and front-right are a single piece.
