Dries incredibly fast!

Post by TelPerian »

So I drove my 170i to work today. It was sunny and warm when I got to work so I didn't put the cover on it. Fast forward one hour later and I heard pouring rain. I check noaa.gov and it says it might also hail. I run out in the rain and put the cover on. At 2 it was still raining. At 3 or so it has stopped raining and I go outside to towel dry off the scooter thinking that with the cover on it wouldn't have had the chance to dry. When I pulled the cover back, everything but the top case was bone dry. Even the seat was dry. What??

esp. if you was/armorall it, it really does dry pretty fast!

This morning was wet for me since it rained all night, and all I had to do to either of my scoots was wipe em off, but I bet there was only an hour or so between rain and ride. Plus, it was overnight and pretty cold with high humidity.

It must be the cover. I drove home in the rain and hail today. I put my scoot in the garage, but when I came out 4 hours later she was still sopping wet. So I wiped her down.

The key is atmospheric conditions. Warmth, relative dryness of the air, any sunshine (before or after), and wind will all result in a drier scooter after rain. The opposite will leave it wet.

So if Chrometheus weighs more than a duck... does that mean he's a witch?

Not with this guy as pitchman! Buddy is tenfold more absorbent. Unless absorbing Jack Daniels, apparently
