First Super Slab scooter ride.

Post by Wheelz »

15 miles 80 indicated, what I learned:

Need a wind screen!
The shaky feeling goes away.
Need a wind screen!
18 wheelers=pucker moment
I need a wind screen!
My helmet could be less noisy.
It was fun running all out, and really not breaking the law.
The B-boys last album is good for Highway riding.
WEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Did I mention I need a wind screen?
"Hey You, yeah, all you'se thoughts, specially you, creepy wierd one in the corner, Screw you guys, I'm going for a ride..."

Last year I took my BV into Denver for service. They needed to keep it overnight and were gracious enough to offer me a loaner Vespa GTS 250 so I could ride home to Breckenridge. After a short ride on I-25 to meet my husband at his mother's in Littleton decided to spend the night there instead of riding home with 70 miles on I-70 and no windshield.

I understand the "I need a windshield" mentatlity completely.

My son had removed the windshield from our Buddy when he was swapping a few panel (he two toned it adding black to the cream) and thought it looked better without a screen. The first time he had to ride home in the rain wiht big fat drops it went back on as soon he as he was home and dry.

I'd advise anyone who has not read the thread about recent fatality reports and the posts quoting statistics relating speed to fatalities to do so before reading the rest of this post.

That is, I can't wait to do the Legal POSTED speed limit safely. That's what I meant. Not being a risk taker or such. And Armored to the hilt... Always.
