Mirror and windshield mount problem on Buddy 150

Post by sarah.gwen.yeung »

I took off the mirrors and windshield on my Buddy 150 to transport it and now the right nut will not screw back in. That is, it screws in partially but stops with about a third of an inch left, so that the mirror is dangles loose. The left side is fine. I tried screwing in just the nut without any of the mirror/windshield hardware attached and still had the same problem. I know it is reverse thread, so no problem there. I hit the same point every time where it stops and won't allow me to screw it in any further, but I took a look at the nut and it looks normal.

Anyone have a similar problem or any idea for quick fixes till i can bring it to my dealer? I've got electric tape tightening the mirror now but won't last long and is still a bit loose.

It sounds like you have some thread damage with the recieving nut for the mirror. That is my guess. I hope you solve the problem :D .
