Identify rubber thingy please...

Post by Mousenut »

I found this on my driveway yesterday under where I put my scooter while I open her house's doors and I can't be 100% certain it came from her but I have to believe it did. Any idea of what it might be? It's oily and dirty made out of stiff rubber.

Kickstand bumper maybe? Is there such a thing?

I would agree with the kickstand bumper. they do fall off from time to time, just not very often.

It sounds louder when it pops up now which made me think that. Where does it go exactly, that pic doesn't show it very well.

There's that little peg that sticks out by the foot lever. That's where it goes. I'd take a snap of mine, but I'm nowhere near home right now.

when you have it on the center stand, follow the foot lever part to where it's welded to the main part of the stand. below that you should see a square piece with a hole in it. it belongs in that hole.

Hasn't the ScooterLounge discovered "if it fits it ships" yet?

I'm thinking UV rated zip ties myself. You can cinch that sucker down pretty good and not have to worry about it popping off again. I would use two or possibly three zip ties. While it's on there, check with your scooter shop... they may have one in stock.
