roughhouse 50/70
I have a roughhouse 50 worked on with kit 70, has exhaust kit and evrything done to it, a couple of times now when I run about 40-50 mph for a 2 or 3 minutes it totally shuts down and after you stop you can turn the key back on and start it up again no problem. Any suggestions, thanks.

When the bike was kitted and piped, was anything doen with the carburetor and air intake? The carburetor would need to be re-jetted, at minimum. Did you install the kit yourself, or did a dealer do the work?
At what point does a hobby become an addiction? I'm uncertain, but after the twelfth scooter, it sorta feels like the latter...

Do a plug-chop... check to see you have a caramel coloration on the plug. I'm wondering if your mix is too lean and it's going into a heat type shutdown. Are you using a premix or allowing the oil pump to handle all of the mix for you? If you are running a BBK on a 2T, you should be doing at least a little extra premix. The other possible issue could be related to the CDI going out. If it terminates and doesn't send a spark, then the engine dies. Since it fires right back up after a full shut down, it could very well be related to the CDI.

CDI stands for Capacitor Discharge Ignition. This is what keeps the revolutions from going too high on a scooter. This is also what sends the spark to the plug. So, no spark and it could be fouled plug or bad CDI. You can find your CDI by following the spark plug wire back to a small box.
Inspect the plug for any problems first and foremost. You obviously have a spark, but it's only constant enough and the scooter dies from time to time. Make sure the battery has a good charge. If the battery is not getting charged while the scooter is running, you could have a bad stator. A bad stator may not give out enough power to the CDI which would limit sparking on the plug.
I would bet on the CDI or the stator being faulty.
