Good deal on a 125

Post by Rob »

Came across this while doing a general search.

A 2008 red Buddy 125 in the Indy area for $975. I think the odometer was in the 5500 mile range. From the pics provided, it looks to be in decent shape. Title in hand. The only strange comment was about never having it plated since the cops never notice.

Anyway, I thought someone on MB might be interested.

If it has never been registered (no plate), it may also have never been titled which would be a big deal.

Is there no 'abandoned vehicle' process? My Vespa wasn't ever titled, and I'm going through the abandoned vehicle process (which is surprisingly easy considering it's the DMV) to title it in my name and register it. Of course, mine is just a 50... I suppose it could be a bigger deal for >50cc?

Hello all, first post on this forum,

That one has been sold. Called on it several times.

This one was stolen if your looking.

I did go to the guys house and check on that scoot (He only lives 2 blocks away from me). I ran the vin and it is stolen. The authorities came and confiscated the scoot.

Thanks,

I do it right from my smart phone on the spot. You can check up to 4 vins per day for free on this web site.

If anyone is interested in checking before they buy.

The pilfered scoot was a different craigslist ad. Still seemed suspicious though that the scoot in the original ad had never been plated .... title in hand or not.

I dunno, I haven't plated mine yet and it's been 9 months. the DMV is an endless parade of nonsesnse. I will get it plated, as I plan to drive it forever, but it annoys me that it is so hard to get them to take my money...
