At least by falling into the hole he's ensured that he won't be riding into anyone else on that day. Darwin takes care of business.
What impresses me most is that a Chinascoot survived at least three accidents and was still running.

At what point does a hobby become an addiction? I'm uncertain, but after the twelfth scooter, it sorta feels like the latter...

It looks like part of the problem was that it wouldn't stop running, as in the accelerator was stuck on. That or he was incredibly drunk. But if you look closely, after each incident he seems to be just trying to control the direction but can't stop it from going forward. I think I would have shut it off and started pushing.az_slynch wrote: What impresses me most is that a Chinascoot survived at least three accidents and was still running.

This was my observation when I visited Beijing. MadnessCTB170i wrote:I watched a whole bunch of these on YouTube the other night…LOL
Once thing I noticed, there seems to be no driving laws, lights, merge lanes, lanes or just plain old respect for anyone on the road regardless cage or scooter…
Patiently waiting for my scooter to arrive…

I agree. Looked like his throttle was stuck...but who knows. Whacky!bluebuddygirl wrote:It looks like part of the problem was that it wouldn't stop running, as in the accelerator was stuck on. I watched it some more and had a thought:
The bike only seems to accelerate abruptly when he turns the bars to the left. I'd suspect that the bike has a short throttle cable that's getting stretched each time he pushes the throttle grip farther away from the carb, e.g. turning left. Either that, or the cables snagging on the frame someplace. I recalled seeing this problem on a Diamo before. Had to re-route the throttle cable to resolve it.
Still, the key or kill switch would have been a smart move.
