The Vespa GTS, the Ninja 300, and most other bikes such as the BV 350 built for long distance riding/cruising are liquid cooled. Makes quite a difference.

That's true, but in the smaller engines if they are open to good air flow, they too run hard without overheating. I have a Grom that I ride at wot for many miles and it does just fine...never overheats. No problem stopped and idling at long traffic lights either which is the real test. Of course there's no T gauge, so I don't really know how hot it gets. 125 ccs, but that's a naked bike and the engine is open to air flow all around it. I even wring it out on 95+F, sunny days. Will the 170i Hooligan have an oil cooler and if so how do those compare to a radiator? I know the big Harleys will overheat stopped at lights with their oil coolers, but there again they have big engines often with stuff all around them. I would need the engine to be bullet proof, even in Texas Summer riding. I did read where one 220 engine seemed to fail, but nothing about the 170i with any problems.
