Windscreen Question???

Post by toot »

Hey, has anyone bought this and adapted it to the newer Buddys..??? Make the area around the headlight to fit with a dremil tool??? It comes with the black surround .. These look so much nicer than the new windscreens.... Let me know if it worked okay :? :?

It is a matter of personal preference, but I really don't like the short windscreens. The problem is that they direct the wind toward your chest and face - not really the effect you want. I prefer a windscreen of the right height so the wind is deflected up over your helmet while still being low enough that you can look over the top of the plastic.

I've got a 150 Vespa (similar enough) with a small windscreen. It's a tradeoff of a bit more noise for a few extra MPH top speed and a little less wind pressure on your chest.

Whether that's a good trade is a matter of personal taste.
