Ok I am not sure what size I need, I do not have a dealer near me to go and try them on. Anyone know if the pictures they have on each size bag are that bag? I looked at all 4 sizes and some of the pictures are the same, mostly things like the clasp or front view, but when they show the back and the actual bag none of those pictures repeat.
I am looking at the Mini Metro and in the pictures it looks pretty big; here is a link to it.
I don't think those are the Mini Metros. I think they are just standard pictures of the Chrome bags in general. Everyone I know has the medium sized Citizen bag. They aren't exactly small, but the extra room would be nice in my opinion to pack things well so nothing is bulky and annoying on your back, depending on what you plan on carrying. Hope that helps a bit!
Hit up google too, it might help. I just quick searched and found this:
I just got a Chrome Citizen (med sized) and yes they are really big bags. Even the mini-metro is big, and I think it would have done fine for my purposes.
I put my laptop (15" powerbook) in it and called Chrome and asked and they recommended the Citizen. I'm thinking those pics ARE the mini but it's hard to say.
As for shoulder, I am a lefty and have the left shoulder bag but it doesn't make any difference I don't think. With a left shoulder bag you use your right hand to adjust the strap while it's on.
Actually for a scooter rider, having the right shoulder might make more sense so you can use your non-throttle hand if you have to adjust it while riding, but I wouldn't recommend that anyway.
OH- and yes these have the extra strap to keep the bag in place. It doesn't go around the waist though- it goes up under your left arm (for left-shoulder bags) and clips to the main strap. I don't usually use it. Great bags!! waterproof too!!
Sweet Scootscoot, How do I always forget Google has all the answers
Ryder1, if the waist belt is not standard I know it is an option to buy, I would have to get it also, since the last thing I need as a new rider is that thing moving around on me hehe.
I realised the other day on my first ride into the big city (just over 30 miles round trip woot! Went over my first railroad tracks and bridge even lol) to buy some things that a little more storage would be nice. I am not sure how I like the look of the storage box on the back of the Buddy.

You would not happen to have any pictures of your Citizen on you do you?
Not wearing it, no. Sorry!
I'll say one thing though- I thought it was going to be uncomfortably big (i'm not a big guy) but it's a very very comfortable bag to wear. Way more so than any of my backpacks or typical messenger bags.

One more tip-
I got mine on ebay. They usually go for very close to list but there's a seller called "revolution cycle" selling a bunch (new) for best offer. If you find one you like color-wise, they took my best offer of $85 + shipping for my Citizen (buy it now was $110). They've got one Citizen on ebay right now in orange/gray http://tinyurl.com/5wd9nz
They have had some mini-metros but don't have any now. They shipped it the day after I won it and I had it in no time from Oregon to Florida.
Awesome, thanks again. I will add them to my favorite seller list and keep a watch out for a color scheme I like.
i have the chrome mini metro, and like i said in another thread, there really isn't anything mini about it. i can fit a ton of stuff in my bag, including my pair of shin-high boots, along with my work clothes, journal, etc. it's pretty comfortable while riding, even over my armored jacket. there are more pics of me wearing the chrome bag on my myspace page (myspace.com/santatequila). it's sorta pricey for a bag, but i am very happy with mine. i'll try to find the pic i have with my boots inside it...

p.s. my laptop is a 15" inch too, and it fits fine with powercord and all the rest of my stuff in the mini....

rub it in. I got a huge freakin bag. But I can fit more beer in mine. And snacks.
haha. the 12 pack and chinese take-out for two fits in my topcase quite nicely, thanks...
truth be told, i fell in love with my bag at a bicycle (ahem, "cyclist's) shop, so i was able to see the different sizes of bags and try them on before i purchased. previously i'd been thinking of going with the timbuk2, so when i saw this huge ass chrome, and saw it was a "mini" and the smallest they made i almost didn't get it bc i thought it was much too big. but i fell in love with the color and the safety-belt buckle. had to have it...
plus, now i love walking around my Very Professional Workplace in my Very Professional Attire with my chrome bag on. i like that it makes me look like the loose cannon, and i say it beats a leather coach briefcase any day!

yeah the safety buckle is boss and I actually like the size of the Citizen. My laptop is also in a padded sleeve and seems like it might be a tight fit in the mini metro. Plus, even for as big as it is, it's so well designed that it's totally comfortable.
And yes, in most work places it definitely says loose cannon! As if the scooter doesn't do that already!!
here is my bag with my scooter wear (tshirt, jeans, boots) and work stuff (journal, few folders):
and just for reference, here are my monstrosities that i call boots that fit nicely in my bag:
(the poor things are falling apart, but i've had them since i was a wee rocker lass of 17, and i can't find it in my heart to part with them)
and, for kicks, my laptop and necessary accoutrements:
if it said anywhere on my bag that it was a "mini", i post a picture of that too. just trust me on this one, it is. supposedly.

Awesome Madtolive, those pics are great. Almost scares me into going for a Mini hehe; I have visions of the Citizen being huge now lol. I went a head and sent you a friend request on myspace also, I figure you can never have to many scooter friends hehe.
Jmazza I will keep an eye on that seller you told me about. I am thinking I want an olive with a red stripe since my Buddy is red, but who knows, I still wanna custome paint job someday hehe.

Topcase? I don't need no stinking topcase!
I've got beer, DVD's, Wii controllers, an iPod, Mac n Cheese, chopsticks and a wok in MY Citizen!! I can make my own Chinese take-out (although I'll need more than the mac n cheese) and it's a party in a bag with a really cool belt buckle!!
I am carrying a chrome messenger bag in blue color that I had bought from louis vuitton handbag collection. It is featured with a long strip so that I can wear it cross body and a handle to carry it in hand.
i have a crome metropolis that i never leave home with out, i love this bag, but it is freaking huge!
they're awesome for riding because they're weather proof and incredibly durable, and if i have a passenger or a large object i can just close the shoulder strap underneath the seat and have it hang out in front of my pet carrier.
Sccoterworks used to sell the Chrome bags with the Scooterworks logo. Made in the USA! My wife found mine in the bottom of the closet so I gave it to her for a work bag. She loves it, the yellow rain coat inner liner makes it easy to find her stuff. If I remember I will see if it has a size/style label in it. My sister bought it for me for a xmass gift donkey years ago from Scooterworks and I only used it twice before it ended up on the closet floor. I just bought a scooter purse- a top box/trunk.
