Hello, everyone. Long time lurker of this forum. I've recently run across some trouble with the engine on my Psycho 125, and I'm looking to replace it. I've found some solid prices on GY6 motors, but I have no clue if they will fit my scooter. Could anyone take a look at the link and tell me if I'm looking at the right replacement, and if not maybe point me in the right direction.
Thanks.

Doubtful. It will most likely bolt in however wiring could be an issue, exhaust might not be compatible. Axle output may be different. Brake drum may be different. And lastly it's a cheap Chinese engine it's going to be inferior in most cases to a genuine/pgo engine.
What's wrong with your current engine? They are pretty reliable.

161cc big bore kit, NCY big valve head Hand ported, NCY transmission kit, jetted and tuned. I can port your cylinder head.

Replace it with a used Buddy engine
IMO you would be way better off replacing your engine with a used Buddy engine. A buddy engine will outlast most Chinese GY6s 5-6 fold. There are some complete engines on Ebay right now. There have been a few for sale on this forum recently.

During the summer I hit some loose gravel on a turn going a bit too fast. That lead to an oil leak which went unnoticed. I neglected to check my fluids there after thinking they would be okay(I had done an oil change prior to the accident). A couple of weeks later on my way home I felt it sputter, and the engine stopped completely. A friend took a look at it, found the hole, and found some scorching on the cylinders. It attempts to turn over, but does not start unfortunately.lovemysan wrote:Doubtful. It will most likely bolt in however wiring could be an issue, exhaust might not be compatible.
