Riding a 125cc scooter in to work and honking at a Maserati that pulled out in front of you and is going too slow.

Then I passed her.

Two weeks ago I passed a Porsche 911 leaving a stop light. He caught up and passed me soon after, but it was fun for a few seconds.

Happiness is perfect timing, arriving at the stop light just as it changes from red to green therefore I don’t have to put my feet down.

Okay so some of us like racing ridiculously expensive and powerful cages, some like not putting the feet down (I always have a little contest with myself to see how long I can balance at a red light- the Buddy is pretty easy to keep upright for some time), and some like gassing up for not much $$$ (but I've never put $6 of gas in my Buddy- have you really?).

With that in mind, and in the interest of keeping this a peaceful place to discuss our scoots

I'll say that happiness is:

Closing the seat after filling up with gas with money left over, riding out of the gas station to the red light and having it turn green before you put your feet down, allowing you to smoke a Maserati AND a Porsche all the way to the next red light!

as fun as that sounds, joe, i think finding rolling paper that's large enough to hold both a maserati and a porche is going to be a bit of a bother.

Happiness is... the stop at the end of the ride. Usually cause it involves good people, food, and sometimes beverage. It would be even better if you got all three without the ride having to end. Wait? I think I just described a rally

This winter has really harshed my buzz. I'm not against riding in cold, but all this frozen precip and the salty roads has made riding much less viable this year.

So happiness will be...

Getting the Buddy out of the garage on Sunday when the snow/rain mix is finally supposed to be gone and the forecast is for a high of 52 degrees.

has anyone else noticed...
that when you are in traffic a lot of cagers almost refuse to be passed by a scooter, i have had some people really race to keep me from passing them. it's like even if i were going over the speed limit they'd feel like they were going slow because a scooter passed them.

p.s. i love rockstar parking. the scooter can actually save you time shopping sometimes because of the no hassle up front parking

I love it when I'm riding in traffic on my bicycle and I catch up with the people who just past me. Unfortunately this cheap thrill usually doesn't last that long though. I imagine in a typical cagers mind that the scooter driver is just a smartass form of the bicycle rider.

Yep, and this can cause a lot of problems on the road. People will pull up really close behind you, swerve in front of you, all kinds of idiocy. Sometimes, it's not worth outrunning them; it just creates a dangerous situation.

Oh, YEAH. Nothing beats new asphalt, especially the very smooth-yet-grippy stuff they've been laying down in my area. It's pretty great for a couple months.
