While I don't buy your slippery slope argument. I agree with your points on intellectual discussion (to a degree)... which I think is what is happening in this thread. We are carrying on the discourse... if not still viewing the images that started it.Elder Scoot wrote: The discussion, whatever the discussion is, should never be killed. Rather, it should be a process where whatever emerges, whether it be some agreement or stonewalled disagreement, is a function of intellectual distinguishing that is fundamental to all reasoned societies which includes people interested in scooters.
I've heard well-reasoned arguments to ban PTWs as being overly dangerous. Do we want to stop there?

We all do, sometimes. Not just the interwebs, but real life. The interwebs just make it harder to see tone, intent, etc.KrispyKreme wrote: I was being a bit dramatic. I took it too seriously. I get a bit turned around on the interwebs sometimes.
KrispyKreme -- Thank you for the gracious response. We all have differing levels of sensibilities -- affected by our many different experiences in life and riding. Being gracious and respectful to those who disagree with you is more important than agreeing, in my book. You're good peeps. Thanks for listening.KrispyKreme wrote: Elder, I think this was me introducing a thread that was objectionable. Nothing more. Nothing less.
I appreciate your response, and it will not be lost on me.
I am a very liberal being. Things that would not offend me are moot in a public forum. Thanks again for your response.
