Buddy Kick Variator Rollers

Does this mean I need 7.2-gram rollers? I keep reading about Dr. Pulley Sliders. Would I order the same weight for those? I am noticing that my take-off acceleration isn't what it was in the past, and I am a heavy dude (260#), and I am approaching 3000 miles on the Buddy Kick. I was thinking it's time to change the rollers.

If they are 7.2, I would install 6 gram Dr. pulley sliders. I would dissamble the variator, and weigh what is in there now. Buy 1 gram (closest you can get) lighter. Are you current on it's maintenance?

Yes, every maintenance item is current. This pic in the service manual threw me off because everything I read, the rollers are 11 grams.

You have to be careful with the Buddy Kick 125 since a lot of people(and parts sellers) confuse it with the Buddy 125. From a quick look I can only find weights listed for the J-Bubu(the name for the Kick oversea,) the weights I see are 7.3g and 9g. The Buddy 125 uses 11.5g or 11g. I can't even find dimensions for the Kick rollers.

If you have a small scale it might pay to weigh the current rollers just to be sure, https://www.harborfreight.com/1000-gram ... 60332.html

Don't do anything until you weigh them. No matter the source, don't assume you know the correct weight until you can verify. Do you have a Post Office in the back of ACE Hardware near you? They will weigh them for you.
