Wrecked

Post by katiejonezy »

Crap, a friend hit a curb with my buddy. I'm so bummed out. Took it to the shop to see what's wrong with it. Something is making the front wheel catch, hopefully it's just the brakes and that the fork is fine.

I've never let a single person ride my Stella, but thought it's be alright to let someone try out the buddy since it's just twist and go...WRONG!

Say a little prayer for my buddy this week as I hope they get a chance to look at it. And say one for my credit card that it doesn't cost a whole lot either.

+1

that really sucks! Hopefully your friend will offer to cover any expenses that might come up to get it back in shape.
Beer is the answer . . . what was the question?

Don't know any scooter prayers.....but I found a poem:

Of roads, wind and curves
Whirling leaves to tease the trees
Scooter dreams are these

A blur of wheeled velvet
Transcends the traffic of life
Alas, a Scooter

Basement lights are out
Warmth still in the engine valves
Scooter sleeping now

Bummer! Good luck with getting her back in shape and out on the road. I do hope your friend helps with the repair costs!

Yikes. It would not be out of line at all to ask your friend to chip in on the repair bill for your scooter, especially if the bill represents a financial hardship for you. Ask nice and remember that any help would be better than none.

Never lend your tools, never lend your bike... Perhaps a bent front wheel?
