I played hookey Thursday and enjoyed a marvelously leisurely ride with my Italia. There was a strong southerly wind, so I did The Crouch, and ignored the funny looks from the oncoming cagers 'cause it really fed my top speed. Anyway, at one point on my journey, this happened:

Buddy's gotta go! But which door?

I believe my Buddy's a female, all sassy and spunky and petite and agile. Which door would your Buddy choose?

Hunkering down to reduce wind resistance. My head's just above my instrument panel, and while in the crouch I can't see in my mirrors. But it got me an add'l 10mph at least.

Most guys including myself if giving their scooter/motorcycle a gender would pick female, and the woman would pick male.

My Buddy is a "she". I don't think of it in the slightly sexual way. I think that it's like riding a female horse.

My 3-year old son decided my Italia is a boy named Buster.

We were washing the scooter a week or so ago and he asked me "is your scooter a boy or girl?" and I asked him what he thought. He quickly replied, "A boy." Figuring he was in a decisive mood, I then asked what the scooter's name was and without waiting a beat, he said, "Buster."

So there you go. Some guys do ride male scooters.

Well, that's a heady question...assuming that gender is a strict dichotomy...and that genetic gender assignation and outward appearance are one and the same...and that everyone on this forum conforms to the socially dominant heteronormative system....

Confounding all of that, my Pinky Tuscadero is one rad chick. And since I believe in playing make-believe, that makes me Leather Tuscadero. So, where's my Fonzie?!

Mine is a Pony- its name is My Little Pony (says it on the top case- and Custom Plates-coming soon- BPONY- for Blue Pony)

Pony? No way! My scoot's named Pony (pronounced with a Native American accent.. "poh-nee.") It's a reference from "Powwow Highway"; the two journying res Indians refer to their beat up car as their War Pony. I'd like to think I'm a crusading modern Indian.
