Hi all,

I'm Shaun, and I just purchased my very first scooter. Its a Buddy 150 (St. Tropez). I thought I would introduce myself and join the conversations. Looking forward to chatting with you.

Hey congrats on the new Scoot and welcome to the Boards! You have some pretty great scooterists out in AZ, so you should have many fun rides ahead of you :)

Hey Shaun, welcome to MB! I lived in Tucson for a year (2006) and loved riding my motorcycle there, I think a scooter would be even more fun though.

Hi Shaun -

Hi Everyone -

I'm new here too. I bought my Buddy, St Tropez also, about a month and a half ago. I have been lurking, and commenting when I had something to add. Love the tips, directions and daily updates. One question though, how did you all get pictures as avatars?

Keep Scootin'

welcome to both of you. and for your avatar you go into your profile and you can upload one from your pc by "browse" or you can use a pre made one here on the board. if you upload one you just have to make sure it's not too big.

Welcome to Modern Buddy! About the avatars thing. As brimstone noted, this is controlled via your "Profile" which you can reach by clicking the word "Profile" in the list at the top of the page where you see "FAQ Links Search... etc." When you go to your profile page, scroll to the very bottom and you will see an Avatar Control Panel. Inside that control panel you will find directions which read as follows: Displays a small graphic image below your details in posts. Only one image can be displayed at a time, its width can be no greater than 128 pixels, the height no greater than 128 pixels, and the file size no more than 16 KB. So, you can either use your own image and crop and resize in a program like Photoshop until the image meets these criteria (the site will refuse to upload your image if it does not) or you can choose one of the preloaded scooter images by hitting "Show Gallery" then look for the Buddy images and select one of those. Whew! It sounds way more complicated than it is. If you have any trouble, just ask and somebody will help you figure it out.

Again, welcome to Modern Buddy!

Wow, quite a few other members in Tucson. :) I'm at Cortaro and Silverbell. If anyone is in (or feels like coming to) the area and wants to ride around a bit with me, let me know! :)

Hi RedCass,

The only accessories I got are the front and rear chrome racks. I like it okay so far, but I haven't had the chance to ride it too much yet. I spent the day today trying to figure out how to get it to trip the magnetic loops that open the gates to my apartment complex when exiting. I finally found something called a Signal Sorcerer that seems to work okay, as long as I ride over a certain part of the sensor. :)

Hopefully I will get a chance to ride it over the weekend. I will also try to take some pics soon.

Hey Shaun, I, too, am a new member and I'm in Tucson. Looks like there's several of us. I'm on the East side and work on the west side.
I'm trying to figure out how to mark the map with my position. I found out about Modern Buddy on the scoot-dawg website. I'm glad I did.
Maybe I'll see you around

Howard
p.s. - Forgive me if this is a repeat. I posted to this thread at work and didn't see it here when I got home, so....I posted again.
