How about 'Bette' for Bette Midler. For some reason, the pink scoots remind me of the Divine Miss M....A little audacious and flirty, but man can she sing.AmyNTX wrote:I have no clue what I want to name my PINK scoot...something diva-ish...so I will have to think about it.

Wow - there's been a lot of reponses to this since I first started the thread...
As for my scoots name; I had originally named her Reba, but after my boyfriend had to come rescue me when she conked out a couple of weeks ago (don't worry - she's ok ) he started calling her "Pussy Tourette " (a drag queen/night club performer )and it's kinda stuck...

After some internal debate, I'm calling mine Iroh, inspired by a character from the cartoon Avatar: The Last Airbender.
My upcoming decal work incorporates a logo from Iroh's nation, so it all ties together.
Also, a lot of Iroh's character applies to the scooter and scooting. From wiki:
"In the show, Iroh is a Firebending master and a former Crown Prince of the Fire Nation, a race of people who can create and control fire."
"Easygoing, friendly and dryly good-humored, Iroh treats his self-imposed exile of the first part of the series as though it were an extended vacation."
"... he focuses more on the pursuits of relaxation and amusements. However, beneath the easy going exterior lies a wise man experienced in the ways of the world, a seasoned and wily strategist, and a powerful Firebending master."
"He also demonstrates a respect and appreciation for all cultures ..."
"Iroh has a tendency to not involve himself in battle, but when he does partake in them, he displays great skill."

Any reference to Bob Denver is more than acceptable. He is an icon almost on par with Don Knotts.Howardr wrote:I was kind of wanting a girls name for my St Tropez, but I'm liking the name Gilligan, you remember from the TV show, "Come on little buddy" says the skipper.

And now, introducing Gumby & Pokey in living color!

Gumby is my husband's recently painted Piaggio Fly 150. Pokey is mine.
I have no explanation for the socks and funny hat.

I'm a big fan of Lovecraft's weird fiction, too.
Maybe I could get a lobster red one and name it Mi-Go. Or have one resprayed a brownish color and call it Brown Jenkin.

You're not the only one with a Piglet, but may be the only one with matching plates!

My brand new (300 miles, 3 1/2 weeks) baby-blue Buddy is Bubbles. She has decal bubbles from the scrapbook store on the front cowling, and has the woven basket on the back, adorned with a large blue bow.
I'm trying to figure out how to rig something that will blow bubbles when we stop at lights.
Yeah, she definitely has her Girl Card!

Naming your Scooter
Hi! Just put the deposit down last night so I have a couple of weeks to decide.
At first I was set on Gilligan ("Hey li'l buddy!"). Then I thought of Leila-like the song. Then my husband and I talked about getting his & hers scooters and starting a radical motorcycle club (The Key Largo Pirates) and we were joking about couples' names - Laurel and Hardy, Martin and Lewis, Bogie & Bacall - that one sounded like it would fit in nicely with our motorcycle club and it ranks up there as a definite possiblity. We also talked about Zeus and Apollo ("Patrol") - a shout out to Magnum PI.
Of course, there's always the possibility of Gilligan and Skipper...
I think my favorites are Bacall, Apollo and Gilligan. At least I've narrowed it down to 3.

Inspector Clouseau
I have been thinking about this for two days now since I saw this post.
Riding to work I got it
My bike is French blue it should have a French name
What better name than Inspector Clouseau
I can call him Jacques for short
J'adore mon Buddy.
