Cortech Jackets
Do jackets made out of Cortech material have a softer feel to the material then say jackets made out of cordura? I am looking for a strong jacket but not real stiff. Or is Cortech the brand name and not a different material than Cordura? I hope I am making myself clear. DUH! thanks

Cortech is a brand name of products made by Helmet House, the same company that makes Tourmaster. They use a variety of materials.
In general, various synthetic nylons and materials used in jackets have different densities and that's really what determines their pliability and softness. See the MB Glossary definition of Denier, the unit for measuring this density.
A lot of high-denier nylons are very stiff at first, but loosen up over time. I woldn't say they become "soft," though.
