I finally had a chance to see my first Stella 4t today and the tail light is freekin' HUGH, it swallows up the whole tail end. Can you give a bit more detail on what was involved in getting the Technostalgia light installed; I'm thinking I may want to change out the stock light as soon as my Stella arrives.jimmbomb wrote: The tail light is Technostalgia repo LED 46-48 Plymouth

Yes, Mulliganal.... fortunatly for you, you're getting a 4t.. A nice new product with potential to make it your own in the ways that you desire.
Using bolt on stuff, or 1 off Or what ever you choose, it's fun & an challenge to mod your own bike.
Unfortunatly for us who want to do a tailight mod..... we are in a world of crap..
The 4t rear end and fender is a totally different animal than the 04-09's.
If you want to swap out a tailight on a 2t, it's a piece of cake...
But the 2010's have an extra bracket under the fender that totally is in the way.
If you look under the rear fender of a 2t, you'll see 2 studs with nuts and wires coming out & that's it! totally flat & very workable under there...
easy peasy... Not so with the new 4 strokes..
Now, the 4t has a black plastic fender directly over the tire & UNDER the metal fender..
You cant see it until you stick your head & hands over the rear tire..
NEXT is a funky bigg-assed bracket that connects the rear fender to under the bike..
This bracket is very large & obnoxiously in the way from the tailight mount screws.
Its hard to explain without pics, but once you look under there, you will see this bogus, but necessary bracket.
So, bottom line... this light requires 5 holes.. & the bottom 2 had to go thru this bracket as well as the wiring hole.
So, you're in for a bit of work.. If you've got time & patience, it can be done as you can see...
It took me 2 days., but I wanted to be extra carefull to do it right..
write back if you think you need more info..
good luck... jh
