What recommendations do you all have? I cannot anchor my scoot to any stationary object where I live.

I found this alarm. http://freymoto.com/cyclone_866F.php

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/QNNBUkHWKPw&hl ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/QNNBUkHWKPw&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

And of course the xena locks.

I am gonna use a cover, but I also found this alarm that connects to a motorcycle cover, under 20 bucks I might test it out just for the heck of it.

LOL @ Pee Wee Herman.

I have thought about this, too, but I don't think there are many options for securing your scooty out there.

I use the Taurus alarm. When someone touches one of my scooters it emits a very loud noise repeatedly that notifies the potential thief that it is not in their best interest to touch one of my bikes.

Yes it'll fit. But I believe they came out with an even newer version. Just best to call them.

I'd lock it up there then.

The disk lock is going to be the best way to secure it without having an anchor. Be sure that you have theft insurance on it!

Xena lock

Post by blackjackgirl »

I rode my blackjack to Key West last week and used the xena lock. It worked perfectly!! I got the XX6 in yellow. Very easy to use, though a light in the key might have helped when I parked on a dark street.....

Buddy is not that big. Why not bring it inside? If a complex, are you on the first floor? Bring er in. Not on first floor? Move down, then bring er in.

Have you talked with the apartment manager and let them know of your concerns, and how light and easy the Buddy is so steal?

Maybe request that they install something permanent for you to lock it to..? Who knows, they worst they can do is say no, right?

I'd still use the loud alarm, of course! :)
