Has anyone installed one of these center stands on their
Stella? Does it make putting your Stella on its center any easier?

I'm not sure if you can use your same springs or if you have to buy different springs for this stand; perhaps someone that has installed one can clarify.

It took 6 months for me to destroy that center stand. Of course, I didn't ride as much through the winter. But to answer your question, there was no special hardware required.Mulliganal wrote:http://www.scooterwest.com/item_details ... ella)/1306Len wrote:where are these available?

I put one on my 08..
it did seem to go up and down a bit easier..
And no welds ever broke... but I only had about 2 years with it on..

good luck.
ps... the stock springs worked just fine.. Mine had 2 springs on the stock..... I hooked them both to the single spring hole on the new black stand.
No problems

Thanks for the photo, great lookin' bike also. It looks like you take good care of her based on how clean the bottom is. I'm going to pick up one of these center stands and I'm happy to hear the current springs will work.jimmbomb wrote:

Re: Has anyone installed one of these center stands on their
I just installed the beefed up center stand with the little foot today and I can say that it makes it a good bit easier to get my Stella on its center stand; it's amazing how much of a difference that little foot makes.Mulliganal wrote:Stella? It was easy to get it installed but a royal PITA to get the springs back on. I bent one of the springs and need to get another one from Home Depot if they have something similar, but so far it works just fine with the one spring.
Also, the foot is shorter than the center stand in the photo, I guess they made changes to it since that time.
