Oil Change

Post by anton2g »

I think I found where to fill the new gear oil into my Buddy 50cc (in the back of the left half of the engine, white plastic bolt) but I cannot figure out how to drain the gear oil. Can someone please explain to me how I need to drain the gear oil on my Buddy 50cc?

gear oil check at 20:00. i know it SHOWS checking / filling. i would think it shows the drain plug. if not its the bolt at the bottom of the assembly, i believe? just unscrew a couple bolts and see if it pours out

this is Roughhouse 50. i believe same set up as Buddy 50

there is a 12mm drain bolt on the bottom near the rear of the CVT; don't lose the aluminum washer when reinserting the drain plug; run the critter to warm up the fluid so it drains easier; with the scoot on the center stand spin the rear wheel to promote a bit more to drain out; replace with NO more than 90-95 cc of fluid...doing so will create a helluva mess if the overflow tube drains oil all over the rear tire & hub; good luck!

I drain gear oil in a measured cup, and replace exact amount. It was 100cc's.

Edit-Im not positive the amount is the same in the 50's, my apologys.
