Looking for a helmet

I'm buying my first scooter (125 Italia) this week and am looking for some helmet advice. The shop recommends full face and for me safety is definitely first, but of course I also want something at least slightly stylish. I like the Momo helmets, but they are all half or 3/4. Anyone know of any nice looking full face helmets in cream, grey or a green that would complement the Italia?

hey, g. i'm also an italia owner. personally, i went with a red hjc cl-15 ff helmet. the red was for visibility and besides the italian flag colors are green, white and red.

i don't know how stylish this helmet is, but i will tell you this: its dot-approved for a lot less dollars (around $120) than some helmets, there is a lot of shield visibility (no blind spots), the shields are easily interchangeable and it only weighs about 3 1/2 pounds, so not a lot of neck fatigue. i find it really comfortable. just make sure you get fitted correctly. not all helmets are for everyone.

i'm looking for one for my wife who has the italia also.
does the red look pretty sharp with it?

I bought a Nitro Touring. It's a 3/4 helmet with a full face flip-up shield and is in a solid gray that looks good with the gray seat on the SI's. Cost me about $75. It also has a nice fit, has scalp vents and really quites the wind noise down. But helmets are like shoes. You've got to try it on before you know if it feels right for you.

Since there are a number of motorcycle shops in the city, you should visit one or more of them so that you can try on a bunch of different helmets. Don't just put it on and take it right back off- leave it on for a while walking around the store to see if any pressure points develop.

Everyone has a different head shape, and so a helmet that works for one may not work for another. I've discovered recently that while my helmet (Nolan N102) is fine for short rides, after a couple of hours it gives me a horrible headache

I tried on Shoei & Arai helmets at the dealership. They didn't feel right.

Scorpion fit me better. I chose the EXO 200 3/4. Many Modern Vespa types go for the Scorpion EXO 700 Full Face.
