Belt question?
I have a question about the cvt belt. I replaced my old one 1800 miles ago because I was trying to figure out my bogging and learching problem. Putting the new belt in seemed to solve the problem and the scoot felt great with no bogging, but it started to do it again. I pulled the belt off and everything looks ok, except for its shape. But then again the old one looked fine just except for some glazing. The old belt was oval whereas the new belt is egg shaped, could this odd shape cause the slipping problem or is my problem deeper?

With time, the egg should become more oval like as it stretches a bit.
You should look at the variator, roller and clutch and also make sure the nuts are all properly torqued.

Not really sure how or why it would go from oval to egg-shaped.
Do you have a stock variator, clutch & clutch spring?

Yep, everything is stock. I am puzzled as well. My more immediate problem is trying to get the sleeve that holds the back of the variator on off, apparently when riding in the rain some water got into the cvt and now the sleeve is rusted. I am getting a 3-jaw gear puller tommorow and then I will apply some heat to it and try to get it off.
