NEW Buddy Wiring Diagram Available!
This wiring diagram is primarily for the Buddy 50, 125 and 150. Most will be applicable to the 170, except some of the ignition and parts of the fuel injection system.
Available on our Manuals, Diagrams & Ephemera page:

Anyone who's looked will know that the wiring diagram in the Service Manual is completely illegible. I tracked one down from a PGO Ligero manual and the quality is much better! There may be some small differences; hard to tell because the US one is so poor. But they look nearly identical.

Thanks Eric!
Not to rag on Genuine, but wouldn't you think that someone on their end would rewrite the owners manual so it made sense in USA/North America, where they are based?
The gibberish in the manual doesn't at all reflect well on Genuine.
Truer words were never spoken!I don't think the people who wrote it understood English that well.

Through an extensive amount of unneeded research, I discovered that the REAL name of the Buddy is the Ligero which is what you have to search for to find any useful information.
I think the service manual was written in Taiwan for people who know roughly how the scooter is assembled. It does no good for a novice who can't decipher the close-up images.

Ligero is the name they use in Europe and possibly Australia. In Canada, it's the Metro. In most of Asia, it's the BuBu or MyBuBu depending on style.mukaiboston wrote:Through an extensive amount of unneeded research, I discovered that the REAL name of the Buddy is the Ligero which is what you have to search for to find any useful information.
