How to fix a broken mirror on Buddy 125

Post by NOpderbeck »

I have a Buddy 125 and the mirror snapped off when tightening it. It left the post of the mirror lodged in the handlebar.

I assume I have to disassemble the handles to get at the post.

Any ideas on how to do that?

I dont know that disassembly is going to be the solution here. Your probably going to have to tap it out... Unless you can get some pliers on it somehow.

Can you help clarify what you mean by "tap it out." Do you mean hammer it downward?

No no, your actually going to need a tap and die.

I've never done it myself, I always get a shop to do it. But apparently you really only have one shot at drilling your hole out and if you mess it up, your pretty much screwed. So if you do decide to DIY, be careful!
