Red rears

Post by slotrod65 »

I recently swapped out the rear signal lenses on my Stella with red ones.
I just think they look more "vintagey"

I'm not sure what the regulations are state by state - or if they are different, but I know the colors of turn signals, brake lights & rear lights are specified. Whatever.

As long as the rear indicators are red or amber, you are good to go.

I have picked up many of my aftermarket shiny bits from Scooter Republic:

Unlike many aftermarket items, these fit on with absolutely zero modifications required,

I like them ALOT! I've done that with several of my vintage yamaha motorcycles as well. I never thought of doing it with a Stella.

Very sharp looking. Still running clears up front?

My P200 came with orange blinkers. I switched to clear to make them less obvious. The oval US tail lamp/square blinkers looked odd. I think it looks more unified with the square taillamp. Put a Sprint/Super tail lamp now! :D
At what point does a hobby become an addiction? I'm uncertain, but after the twelfth scooter, it sorta feels like the latter...

Seriously...I've lost count...

Seven mopeds ...that's still manageable...

Yep, I still have clears up front, with LEDs that are white, but glow amber when lit.

You read my mind az_slynch. I have an SS Tail light all ready to install after I finish swapping out my rubber floor strips for stainless steel... That mod has been a bear so far as none of the holes / screws line up. grrr...

I couldn't help but notice the yellow boots... Darn good looking Stella you have there. Lots of nice touches.

Let us know how that tailight swap goes.
I did one on a 2010 and it was a bear with that extra fender bracket
