Faco Windscreen

Post by toot »

After buying a cheap windscreen from Ebay, total CRAP!!! I got a FACO Smoke screen from Scooterwest... Fit and finish is great, installs perfectly and easily ( must get longer head set bolts though), and looks great. Keeps wind off chest which is what I was looking for. Would recommend this screen if you are looking for one. Would post picture if I could just figure it out..Modern Vespa picture upload is so much easier..

I'm down for the look. I got a cream & blue Stella too, a '12. Just hit 9,200 miles 2 yr warranty up in July and she runs like a top.

My baby had to be towed

Post by toot »

I am so sad... 125 miles, ran perfectly, then shifted into 3rd and it just died. I could not start it to save my life. Luckily I was 1/2 mile from home, however it was all up hill. 2 guys helped me push it up the hill, otherwise it would have taken me forever... Pulled the plug and it was dry??? Never got it to start that night and even the next morning, so I had it towed to the dealer... It is still there. I will let you know what is wrong... I am so glad they give you FREE TOWING...

Update

Post by toot »

It got my scoot home. Drove so nice. They found a loose wire at coil. Said that when taking cowl on and off may have bumped it and pulled it loose. Rerouted it to back so it does get knocked loose. Everyday I learn something new so hopefully in time I won't get stranded again.
