I'm interested in hitting the track on a Buddy. Anyone else?

Post by Jonny D »

Hey, I wanted to kick start this idea.

Is there anyone around the US still interested in hitting the track on a Buddy??
I'm looking into starting up a project race crew. I've got the tools and lift at the best scooter shop in the friggin whole world and Ive been looking into tracks around Colorado that have shown a little interest. Mostly laughs...

Has anyone heard if they are they still interested at Genuine?? Being a sales rep at Sportique I guess I should start with our local sales rep at Genuine and see what maybe she knows about it... Thinking out loud.

Lets get this chat rocking!

We still drag race out here in the OH, IN, MI, WI area, but I haven't seen any circuit racing. I'd be interested in watching, and maybe even participating in a track day type event, but I'm not sure how willing I am to go head to head with other riders. Broken bones don't heal as fast as they used to :)

I spoke with the Pueblo Motorsports/Speedway people they say that they would be interested in a similar event in which we could do time attacks/lap day. There are also a few Go-cart tracks I have yet to hear back from.

Its a good start up though, to hear that an NHRA certified track is at all interested in 50's.

Go kart tracks are the way to go. When we raced hopped mopeds in the 90's we went to a few. Also, there is a racing organization for ysr50's and such. You may be able to "jump in" with them. The speeds are about the same and the go kart tracks are the right size.
Speed is only a matter of money...How fast do you want to go?

I totally agree. I'm still waiting to hear back from go kart tracks. They are closed for the season it seems...
