Carrying Guitar on Stella (or any scoot)

Post by BigDaddy SnakeOiler »

Hey folks. First post here. I love 2 wheel transpo and am right now waiting delivery on a new Stella 4T manual.
I was wondering if anyone had any experience with transporting guitars. I figure some kind of harness that would fit around the top case and hang it off the side.
Any ideas?

I have never done this, but I have seen/heard of people carrying guitars with a backpack-type setup so the neck points straight up.

Haven't tried it, although I do play. Do a search for surfboard racks for scooters. I think with some well placed bungee cords it would work.

My son is going to welding school right now and I told him his first commission is going to be to build me a flat-bed side car so I can carry all my music gear.

Sounds pretty cool. The shop I work for is going to be making a trailer for one of the scooters we own pretty soon. Might be another option for music gear aside from a sidecar.

I thought about the soft case route. It would work but some instruments are a little heavy and you get wind drag. That said It would be the cheapest option.

The problem with the commercially available sidecars and trailers is that they're all made for passengers or for stowing things on the road. I couldn't fit my amp in an Inder.
