Matt or the scooter
Either way, I must agree. The yellow Vespa in The Transformer was nice too.

Not a "scooter movie" but it had a scooter - American Pie - Old Vespa maybe?

Oh, please. Roman Holiday. Audrey Hepburn. Gregory Peck. Eddie Albert with a beatnik beard and sandals. A classic.

Absolutely! I saw it when I was little, then we moved to Italy in 1969, I kept looking for Audrey Hepburn when I was in Rome!

That scooter in the movie looks like a ET4 from the early 60's.
The ET4 had cowls which were part of the main body, and a small window that could be removed to access the engine.

Quadrophenia is pretty lame by any standard, other than "quantity of scooters," which is enough to get me to watch it over and over.

That is a vespa v50 or v90 from between 63 and 65. The ET4 wasn't made until the late 1990's.

"Kamikaze Girls" is a fun movie with a lot of souped up 90s honda twist-and-gos in it.

I'm with Lou on that one, the whole movie is like a contest to see how many bass notes John Entwhistle can play. I guess there's arguably some great music in there, but it's Booker T and the Ronettes and the old Ready Steady Go clips of the Who, and certainly not "Bellboy."
"5:15" and "The Real Me" aren't bad, but the rest of it is way too noodly/prog and all the songs are twice as long as they need to be. "The Punk and the Godfather" would be ok if it was a third the length and stripped down, production wise.

I guess I'm talking about the Who album (1973), not the Soundtrack (1979). To a lot of Who fans, Pete's music in Quadrophenia is the stuff. I'll give you twenty 'Sally Simpsons' for one 'Bell Boy' any day of the week.
But again, to each his own.
Oh, and all that Entwistle bass playing? Simply amazing.

We should start a new thread on this, I could argue about the Who vs. Kinks vs. Stones vs. Beatles for weeks! I actually just wrote about 200 words on the subject, then erased it to spare you all having to read it.

Yup, the lead character rode sidesaddle with (I think) a postal worker, it looked like so much fun!

OK, hands down, it's Roman Holiday for me, too. I'm thinkin' about naming mine, a she, Hep or Heppy, BOTH because of Audrey AND Kate. Mostly for Kate.
Another movie whose scooter caught my eye was the remake of "Alfie," with the ubiquitous Jude Law. The movie was rather forgettable (the original all the way!!!), but the scooter he rides is rather sweet.

Run, Lola, Run because the incident incident is when her scooter is stolen!
I think Sarah Conner rode a scooter too. I don't know if it was T:1 or T:2 though...
So I guess that makes my favorite movie with a scooter in it either Terminator 1 or 2!

Don't forget Hellboy. Myers was a mod, I think.
