Reflective Tape / Fabric

Post by MikieTaps »

Hey guys,

While taking pictures of the burning building last night, I noticed that even with my little cell phone camera flash, the firefighters were lighting up like ALIENS!!! <--- thanks alienmeatsac for pointing that out.

It got me to thinking... what does the reflective fabric look like lit up on my Corazzo 5.0? Well, yes, I look like an Alien!!

Here is my Jacket,

If that honeycomb looking 3M tape they are talking about is their "SOLAS" product... that stuff is awesome... That is what we use in the Coast Guard, it will blind you! 8)

This stuff, made for runners, might be good for the scooter rider that only occasions the night time ride...

It's amazing what a little bit of really good reflective material (decal/fabric/etc) will do for your visibility at night.

My jacket has thin reflective piping down the arms and I never thought it would be very useful but once when I did a local ride one of the riders came up and told me she had seen me out riding one night and the first thing she noticed was how bright the reflective material was on my jacket.

After that I started putting more on my helmet.

You could always paint your whole Buddy with the paint they use for highway reflectors like they did for the end scene in Repo Man.

I can just see painting a helmet and scooter up like that, and then driving around at night and having someone call the cops about this haunted scooter driving down the street.

It would be as bad as the time I got arrested for the grim reaper costume I made for holloween when I was 14. Seems some old ladies don't like motorized skateboards under a grim reaper costume. Never did get that board back from the arresting officer.

One of my favorite movies of the '80s. Just watched it for the gazillionth time last week and I think my wife is finally starting to get it. She snickered at least 3 times.

Eric, I can make a pretty good argument for it being the best, or at least most influential, movie of the 80s. I'm glad to find someone on here that shares my love for it. :D

Repo Man is the best Emilio Estevez movie ever!
Street Glo http://www.streetglo.net/ has some pretty cool decals. I'm about to hit 'em up for the chili peppers...
