Some of the comments are pretty enlightnening as to the lack of knowledge on the population at large.
Cute smallish picture of a Buddy for you Buddynatics
Yes, some of the comments are super lame. Mostly positive stuff though. And plenty of mentions of Scooterville. I love MN, but when reading some of the worst comments I'm a bit sad to learn that much more about my neighbors.
I can't help but be a little proud that I bought my scooter for the love of it and not the gas savings. The gas savings are a fabulous bonus. If my scooter didn't get any better mileage than my car, I'd still love it.
And yeah, the comments are super ignorant. But seriously, think about the people trolling 'round the Star Tribune website with an opinion. Yeah, they're off curing cancer in their day jobs I'm sure.

It's not their first. The stock photos are from Scooterville and the UofM and they don't mention them in their story. Just filler.
On the MPR piece in the morning it was a little sad. The interviewer (she's always horrible) was asking just as dumb questions as those leaving comments on the story in the paper, such as 'why they slow down traffic' and such. I'll bring that up next time I get pulled over for speeding.

At least she interviewed an actual DMV guy who could explain the legality issues. I'll take her over Gary and the beg-a-thon duo. I think the major perception issue is that all scooters are "mopeds" and therefore slow. I think I get a lot of weird looks from people when I'm on my Blur because they don't expect me to be as fast as I am.
