Holy Crap, deadlight covers are EXPENSIVE!

Post by chancerbeans13 »

Anyone looking to bring your deadlights to life as running lights, be careful when trying to take the covers off (to replace amber bulbs with clear ones.) I tried my hardest not to break them, but the little clip on the bottom of both covers snapped off. True, the screw holds the covers on, but they rattle when I am sitting at idol and it is pretty freaking annoying. Anyways, I just called the dealer to get a price to replace them, $25 each!!!! Does anyone know where to get them other than the dealer? I am going to try scooterworks. BTW, she said to be glad I didn't get a Vespa, they are $60 each....

Hey, everyone (not to single out chancerbeans, we all do it), try to be as descriptive as possible in your subject head, it helps everyone find what they're looking for and avoid stuff they don't care about. AND, you'll be more likely to get helpful responses if your thread header is clear.

Thanks, sorry to be buggin.'

Chancer,
you could just get some of the foam strids for weatherstripping doors/windows. Make a seal around the cover, screw it down and your rattles should be gone.

Just a thought.
Beer is the answer . . . what was the question?
