LA area: May 2 Ride & NoHo Scooters BBQ

Celebrate the start of riding season with a great all-scooters ride and a BBQ hosted by our pals at NoHo Scooters.

Beginning in Hollywood/Los Feliz, we will wind our way through the Hollywood Hills and along Mulholland, stopping at the Hollywood Reservoir (beneath the Hollywood sign) and a couple other notable scenic spots along the way. The final route is still TBD, but will be about 60-90 minutes and will go through some of the most beautiful urban vistas and fun-to-ride thoroughfares L.A. has to offer.

Salon 5140 just opened next door to NoHo Scooters. I was talking to Robb and Kim, the owners, and they are going to offer 50% off their services to scooterists during the BBQ on May 2nd. They have already cut George, Jimmy, and my hair. They do an excellent job.

Hey Eric, I'm thinking about joining the group for the ride Saturday. Sounds like the weather might be a bit iffy. Is this a rain or shine ride?

Weather.com shows the rain clearing in the morning and partly cloudy by noon. We are going to go ahead with the BBQ.

Meet for the ride is now at 11am instead of 10am! Hope this will help folks avoid the possible morning rains.

It's very gloomy down here. Rain expected around noon.

I see the weather forecast here has changed since last night and no longer calls for rain - now says overcast until 2pm(ish) then partially cloudy...

I would have come up to LA for this event if today wasn't the same day as the Motorsport Scooters Yard Sale.

I was there most of the day. I'm exhausted. My boyfriend is all sunburned. I left my raffle tickets with Steve, I don't think we won anything.

I only wish I could have been there instead of home sick.

Sorry I missed you then. I was there twice. Met with the Sexauers there and ran into Saleem (my neighbor) also. Didn't stay for the raffle though. Might go for a ride with them (Saleem & the Sexauers) today though.
