Very nice Superstar Mikie.
I met one of those people before
BUT WHAT'S REALLY CRAZY IS THAT I JUST THOUGHT ABOUT IT AND REALIZED SHE MIGHT HAVE CAUGHT ME ON CAMERA THAT DAY.
Lo and Behold. She did.
I'm on google maps too, well, my scooter is!!!

I was thinking it would be awesome to rig a scooter to do that. But the hardrive to store it all is massive. The whole car is a hardrive basically.

Looking at all the gear you've got strapped on there, I take it this was when you were still on your peace scoot trek?Alix B wrote:Very nice Superstar Mikie.

Too funny. I didn't even know there was such a thing as 'street view' and lo and behold, there's our house and my wife's car. She was able to date the drive-by within a month or so based upon the bumper stickers on her car (always changing, always blunt - she saves the nasty notes people leave on her windshield).
Clearly.

Heh, I can time my house similarly. I build hotrods, and I can tell that the images are over a year old by which projects are in the driveway. I've still been unable to find my car or my Buddy anywhere.loodieboy wrote:Too funny. Then there's this now infamous street view of Chicago that was removed. It was just a toy gun, but everyone who saw it blogged "drive by on street view" or "kid shoots kids captured by Google street view."
Chicago is a fun city to Street view..you can even find people flashing the cameras (mostly girls)

I spotted the Google Earth car last summer in DC, about a month after getting my Buddy. I followed it for a little bit waving my arms and making faces, but I guess that it wasn't recording for those few blocks. After crossing Massachusetts Ave, apparently the camera came back online and caught me waiting to turn left.

That's from 3 years ago, our permanent sign wasn't even up yet. I remember the car going by. We got hit early, so our resolution wasn't very good.

That's better. It looks so sad before your sign was up, but that could have been the weather.pocphil wrote:I have no idea what happened there...love your avatar btw. Still can't get used to Dr. #11.
POCPhil's place
I saw that pic and it immediately made me think of my two bikes. The Concours (with it's faded gray paint) is the DeLorean and the Beo's blue is a pretty close match for the Tardis.
#11 isn't bad, but after Tennant's 5 year stint, it's hard to picture anyone else in the role. The ginger's a lot easier to get used to.
I still need to find/make some DMC emblems.

Apparently its fairly outa date... The street view of my place shows 2 cars in the driveway I haven't owned for almost 4 years now.

Re: Google Maps Street View I MADE IT ON!!!
HA! This is awesome! I was in Hawaii in 2008, and the Street View car drove past me, I stuck my head out the window, but I guess it wasn't taking pictures. I was really wishing to see a street view pic of me on vacation, that would have been awesome!MikieTaps wrote:My buddy and I might be on Google Maps Street View!!!
I was sitting at a red light in seattle, and a car turns and drives past with this 6-7 foot tall "mast" sticking off the roof of it with about 16 cameras pointing every direction. On the side of the car was a logo that said "Google Maps Street View"
If you have no idea what I am talking about, go to www.maps.google.com and zoom in on Chicago, or some other big city until you are able to see blue highlighted streets... You can actually go all the way down to street view, and its like you are at street level looking around on that spot! If I do show up on there, ill post a link to it!
EDIT!!! I MADE IT ON STREETVIEW!!!!!
