Black Cat 70cc Mod
I have a Black Cat with the Prima Pipe. I'm thinking of putting in the 70cc Mod. Has anyone done this mod? Is it worth it? Will the stock carb work or do I need a new one?

Re: Black Cat 70cc Mod
If you already have the pipe then I think the upgrade it carb would be well worth adding when you add the kit. I think the 70 cc is worth it. Alone, a pipe or a kit gives a nice bump in performance. But together they really sing. Adding a slightly larger carb (17.5 or 19mm dellorto) will allow the the other two to work together well and you'll probably have a larger range of jets to select from for dialing it all in. Just don't forget to adjust the weights and clutch springs to suit or it just won't work at all.Jobull wrote:I have a Black Cat with the Prima Pipe. I'm thinking of putting in the 70cc Mod. Much nicer than the yellow, that's for sure!
I have the 70cc kit, but still have the stock pipe. Now that the new cylinder has been broken in, I'm really happy I got the kit even though it's a fairly expensive upgrade. I get up to around 50 on flats and the initial acceleration is good. It really flys from 30-40.
I'm using 7g rollers, but I'm curious how other weights would affect all of this.
