That sucks!! that's why I would not trust ANYONE with my scooterBarberry17 wrote:Italia rider here! But can't ride today, 100% chance of rain in New York, from Hurrican Gustav or something. Plus, my best bud wrecked my scoot a few nights ago, it wasn't even 1 month old, not even 500 miles on it!! =( Waiting for the parts to come in for repairs next week.
Vroom Vroom, here I come! riding it like I stole it.

This Italia guy's not so Italia anymore. I found me a Blur. My wife just gained entrance to the Italia club, and her's looks pretty sweet! I'd have her post pictures, but you've already seen it. The sad part is, I really don't think the Italia's gonna get much more attention- customization wise.
I feel sorry for the new Blur, though. I'm gonna tear that thing apart very shortly....

Bump!
Yay! A scooter club that I fit into! I'd post a pic of my Italia, but I haven't taken any of it yet. Besides, I bet you all can guess what it looks like. The only thing I've added is some reflective tape.
I'm wondering what size Prima bags you all have? Are those the full size bags people have in their pictures? I want one pretty bad. But, I think I might get it in black, and get black racks instead of chrome ones, just for the sake of being a tad bit different - and to avoid having to buy a new seat and grips.
Viva la Italia!

Y'all know me, I'm down with the IOC no doubt. All I have are pics that are already on this forum somewhere...
we should have badges made. yes, good idea. Wait, we already do!!!
Someone was asking about a photo of reflective rim tape? I've had great success with installation
and no problems with it peeling off after 6 or 7 months of abuse. This is the only shot I could find...
not the best angle, but you get the idea.

Heres my scoot in the garage. It would be considered a "mild custom" in the hot rod world. So far its been de-badged, de-reflectored, foot rests painted and licensce plate bracket has been modified. The mods to come include a gun turret style exhaust heat shield, and modified stock mirrors.

I will when she comes out of winter storage...these cell phone pics are all I could grab between her Christmas unveiling and tucking her in for hibernation.KRUSTYburger wrote:Very nice... definitely makes me want to put a nice glossy clear coat on mine. When she comes out, trust me, LOTS of photos will become available, as my girlfriend, the recipient, is a photographer.

Finally some decent scooter weather - 70's here in Cincinnasty this weekend!
At last got a chance to ride and get some pics...
Not much customization, but what I have done I got from ideas of others on MB.
(the "B" sticker is not for 'B'uddy... it's a tribute of sorts for my first scoot ( actually a Honda PC50 moped) I had in Belgium back in the 70's)
Mod credits:
Lil Buddy - deadlights-to-running lights mod
ItaliaGuy - chrome trim on hood and sides
bounce - cup holder
taile84 - reflective tape on helmet

Got bored and took a bunch of pictures of my bud. I'm trying to get used to using this camera, it's mainly for video I think.
It has a wide angle lens so it takes cool pics. Figured I'd snap a few while I still have the whities on, I'll be getting some
sporty Pirellis in a week or 2. Anyways, enjoy:

Interesting helmet for the Italia rider. Not crazy about the image on top but still.
I've never heard of this company but here is the link. I thought it was funny that they claim to "Speak English or Spanish" (upper right corner). The website is in English so I'm guessing . . . Um, English?

my little she-beast
Hello all,
This is my first post, I'm new to the forum. I've been looking at the sight for some time now, but just joined ( I'm an insanly busy math instructor/ Grad student) This is my buddy little Italia 50cc. Havn't done much to her yet, but lots O' plans this summer for her:) All I've done so far is had the tires swaped out for Mich S83's and added a top case and cuppini short wind shield. The goal this summer is to turn her into the Oi Pirate she-beast that I know she has in her.

New Italia Owner Here
I bought my Italia 150 (I named her Giovanna) last week. Rode her 4 days and she's already got 50 miles on her. My first fuel-up was a whopping $1.71 (and that's the good gas too!). I LOVE riding her in this summer weather and home after school is so nice.
I've already encountered going over my first train tracks (they're everywhere in S.F.) at perpendicular angels and coming from a parallel - dry weather is good time to practice since the train is one block from my house, getting lost in the city (since I don't know the street names, just the bus and train lines), gone grocery shopping, and have found that round-abouts are SUPER fun I also got the most exciting thing on Saturday - my first head-nod from a fellow rider, a Harley rider! That made my day because I have heard so much about other scooterists and sometimes motorcyclists waving, etc. and this was from a guy on a big o' Harley covered in leather and black!
Really looking forward to having lots of fun with Giovanna. Have a matching top case ordered, waiting for it to come to the shoppe!
P.S. Italia's are the BEST Internationals

Twin Italia Scooters
Not sure how long we will have both of these, yet we too also have two Italia scooters and love them! Nothing too special other than some chrome and top trunks which come in real handy almost every day.
