Windscreen for a Roughhouse?

Post by Scalpel »

After hearing about windscreens helping top speeds a bit when the rider tucks down behind it, I'm thinking of adding one to my Roughhouse. The question is, what will fit? I see two possibilities on Scooterworks:

http://www.scooterworks.com/Windshield_ ... 11C291.cfm

http://www.scooterworks.com/Windscreen_ ... 44C291.cfm

I rather use that first one, or something else cheap, rather than experimenting with a $100 windscreen.

So, anyone know what will fit a Roughhouse? And will it help at all? I love my little scooter, but every extra bit of speed would help.

I bought what I think is a Prima universal windscreen for my black cat, and just sayin', it rocks!
You will need a screen that bolts onto the mirrors, not your bars like the cheaper screen for the rattler. I think it is the same screen, just different hardware.
You should be able to pick up a somewhat cheap universal windscreen at any scooter/moto store, and bolt it in with the mirrors.
I have noticed a slight improvement in mileage and speed, but a huge improvement in comfort. and I think it looks cool....

I called Scooterworks about finding a wind screen that will fit the Roughhouse, and they said that the following products works fine:

So it looks like most screens using mirror mounts should work fine.
