Scooter Dave is a Vulcan:
http://www.vulcanscooter.com

The Vulcans are into vintage Vespa and Lambretta scooters, rebuilding, riding and repairing those old scooters, beer, etc. Not necessarily in that order.

He can probably answer any questions you have, you can PM him from the Memberlist.

I saw that too! Looks like loads of fun. Now for the crazy question. Would you ride your scooter there, or would you haul it?
If you are riding, I may consider it more seriously and ride down and meet up with you.

Thanks Dave!

I'm going to ride down from Boca on Saturday and back. I'll probably ride down on Sunday too as long as the weather is good. I'm hoping to get some good photos!

The Vulcans Rock!

Post by BuddyRaton »

Saturday I took off at about 8:30 and headed south to Miami. The weather was perfect, partly cloudy about 65 deg. I took A1A along the ocean to 17th St. Causeway in Ft. Lauderdale, over the bridge to US1 down to Dania and back over to A1A, continued down past Haulover Beach to 71st Street then over to Biscayne Blvd and south to 64thSt where everyone was gathering. Trip of about 45 miles. The Vulcans were serving breakfast. Although most of the scooters were 2 stroke vintage Vespas, Lambrettas with a few Stellas I was warmly welcomed! After "brealfast" we lit them up for a tour of downtown Miami into Coconut Grove. My estimate was about 45 scooters. This was my first big group ride and I have to say....it was a blast! We then rode through the tollboth over to Jimbos on Virginia Key.

To be continued
