valve spacing

i am going to check the valve clearance this weekend... has anyone else done this themselves yet? any tips?

Isaac, go into the "search" mode here and type in "valve clearance". About 3/4 of the way down the page will be a threat entitled, appropriately enough, "Valve Clearance". Click on that and it will bring up a downloadable instruction page on how to do the valve clearance adjustment.

I didn't realize this was one of the things we needed to do on 125s..

Yep. Unless you have an engine that is sporting hydraulic valve actuation, the spacing must be periodically adjusted.
