That can be arranged. In the meantime, please eat this 20lb pack of bacon in preparation.

Shamp's Meat Market in Pine River, MN has the BEST bacon.

Now I want bacon.

Now I want bacon.
I suppose I should be upset, even feel violated, but I'm not. No, in fact, I think this is a friendly message, like "Hey, wanna play?" and yes I want to play. I really really do.

THE POWER OF BACON!
WEST CHESTER, Ohio -- One of Rep. John Boehner’s local offices was evacuated Monday afternoon after a suspicious package arrived in the mail.
Staffers received the letter from Georgia by U.S. mail. After noticing it was leaking an oily substance, they called the Capitol police in Washington, who advised them to evacuate as a precaution and call in local authorities
Multiple police agencies responded to the Republican congressman’s West Chester office and began an investigation.
After an X-ray analysis, investigators determined the package contained bacon.
Boehner voted twice last week for a $700 billion bailout of the financial industry, which passed Friday and was signed into law by President George W. Bush.
Some critics have charged that the legislation contained unnecessary giveaways, which are sometimes referred to as “pork barrel” spending.
A spokeswoman said it's ironic someone would send Boehner bacon because he has spent his career fighting pork barrel spending.
No injuries were reported, and the incident remains under investigation. A note found in the package with the bacon was not disclosed by authorities.

I have a friend who lives next door to a couple who have a pool. Her upstairs balcony overlooks her neighbors' pool. THey have a new pool boy. My friend says the only thing that make this young man yummier than he already is would be to have him wrapped in bacon.
Maxim advertised bacon flavored vodka a few months back.
perpetual kid sells bacon scented car air fresheners (shaped like bacon, as well)
the BEST bacon in the universe is that first piece of REAL pork bacon after having had to eat turkey bacon for years.
Nothing tastier.

I own several things of bacon salt. It tastes a bit too much like that fake bacon stuff for me. But it's not bad if you need a little smokey almost not really bacon flavour in stuff.
And FWIW, I looked at turkey bacon at one point and most all of it has pork in it

Eating bacon is especially delicious when Jewish....it violates the kosher food laws, and thus is forbidden. We all know anything forbidden tastes even better.
Without bacon, I would be ferklempt, possibly mishuguna.
The only thing better: sweet and sour pork.

My fascination with bacon goes way back. One day, I am going to make a suit out of bacon and live my life long dream of running a marathon in the desert in a bacon suit, stopping only to eat the suit and drink some OJ.
Speaking of bacon... here is a shirt I did for a friend years ago based on a dream he had. I wear this shit still to this day about once a week.

Some mornings, the snack shop has filled the building with bacon smells. I have considered going up there and asking for like 20 slices of bacon.

Was reading this thread today and ended up getting a delicious BLT for lunch. It came on texas toast and had a slice of gouda cheese on it. All will be right in the world as I digest.

<IMHO> the very best bacon I have EVER had comes from Burger's Smokehouse in California, Missouri. Country cured...peppered...thick cut...YUMMMMY! You can get some too at www.smokehouse.com/ They ship to places like, say, Denver, where really good bacon doesn't exist.

its not funny but...
at my pizza shop, i put as much effort with my sales reps into choosing just the right bacon, as i did in choosing just the right cheese.
we litterally spent weeks testing every available bacon i could get from the distributor. size, shape, taste, etc... somewhere around 40-50 different cases of bacon were tested.
i assure you that NONE of them went to waste
the ones that didnt make the cut. were taken home to be used there
and, after finally deciding on the perfect bacon.... we unveiled out BLT pizza
pizza crust, alfredo sauce, triple bacon, mozzerella and chedder cheeses and after it comes out of the oven we top it with fresh shredded lettuce and diced roma tomatoes..
mmmmmm
of all my specialty pizzas, the blt is by far my favorite. and the only thing that makes it better is cajun seasoning on the crust.

To keep my supply of bacon at a reasonable level I have begun to buy 10lb boxes. My old food saver vacuum sealer was brought out of storage and works still so I have 8 one pound packages in the freezer and 2 in the fridge. Also a friend convinced me to bake it in the oven instead of frying on the stove. Its good, but I'm not sold on baking it yet.
