With 3-day weekend temperatures in LA in the 70s and (yesterday) mid-80s, two-wheeled vehicles have taken over the streets. Though I should be working, I've had a lot of long "errands" which have required me to ride all over the vicinity.
GatsbyGirl and I were pretty excited to see two Blurs heading down Ventura Blvd. in the Cahuenga pass as we rode back from our morning errand (I had to go to the Farmer's Market to get a leg of lamb). We also saw a Kymco People, a couple generic imports, and a beat up '80s Vespa P200.
As far as motorcyclists, I've noticed that most of the cruiser riders are pretty friendly, waving and so on. Especially those riding in groups. The sport bike riders, well, not so much. The ones riding with one hand on their hip, never.

Not literally, I hope. Though you could probably outrun him if you had to.dru_ wrote:Bumped into a Harley Dyna-Glide at the grocery.

No not literally. Actually we shared a parking space though
I do have to admit that I find the whole thing funny though. I ride a People 250 and the Harley (nice, black with full hard bags and a pipe that isn't 130db's) side by side present an interesting picture.
The People is definately taller, the are nearly the same length (the People is 7 feet long shockingly enough. He did get a good laugh though. He was picking up a package of burger meat for the spouse, I was grabbing everything for making Chicken Alfredo for 7 people, with salad and apple pie for dessert, so I had 5 bags of groceries. He couldn't believe everything I stowed away. But on the upside, even with my fat butt and all the groceries on the scooter our gross weight was still less than his without the rider
